About the Concentrate

What is Orange Kleen concentrate made from?

Orange Kleen concentrate is powered by real orange oil (d-limonene) — a natural solvent extracted from citrus peel — combined with biodegradable surfactants. It contains no chlorine, bleach, ammonia, phosphates, or synthetic fragrances. What's in the bottle is what it says on the label: plant-based, citrus-powered cleaning.

How do I dilute the concentrate?

It depends on the job:

General all-purpose cleaning (benchtops, glass, tiles): 30ml concentrate per 1 litre of water
Heavy degreasing (oven, stovetop, workshop): 60ml per litre
Floor mopping: 20ml per litre in your spray mop or bucket
Laundry boost: 10ml added directly to the wash cycle

The bottle includes a measuring cap for accurate dilution every time.

How many litres does one bottle make?

One 1L bottle of concentrate makes up to 33 litres of ready-to-use cleaner at the standard dilution rate (30ml per litre). At the heavier degreasing ratio it makes approximately 16 litres. Either way, one bottle goes a very long way.

What surfaces can I use it on?

Orange Kleen concentrate is safe on virtually every hard surface in your home:

Kitchen: benchtops, stovetops, splashbacks, sinks, appliances, inside the oven
Bathroom: tiles, grout, toilet, shower, bathtub, vanity
Floors: tiles, hybrid, vinyl, sealed hardwood, laminate
Windows and glass: streak-free when used with a microfibre cloth
Outdoor: BBQ, patio furniture, concrete, garage floors

Not recommended on: unsealed natural stone (marble, travertine), raw/unsealed timber, or delicate silk/wool fabrics.

Is it safe for kids and pets?

Yes. Once diluted and surfaces are dry, Orange Kleen is safe around children and pets. Orange oil (d-limonene) is a naturally derived ingredient used in food flavouring, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. We use no chlorine, bleach, ammonia or synthetic fragrances. As with any cleaning product, keep out of reach of children and avoid direct contact with eyes.

Is it greywater and septic safe?

Yes. Orange Kleen concentrate is biodegradable and safe for greywater and septic systems. The surfactants break down naturally and do not harm soil, waterways or septic bacteria.

Can I use it in my washing machine?

Yes, as a laundry boost. Add 10ml directly to the drum or detergent drawer along with your regular detergent. It's particularly effective for cutting grease and oil stains. It is not a replacement for laundry detergent on its own.

About the Spray Mop

What floors is the spray mop safe on?

The Orange Kleen Spray Mop is safe on all hard floor surfaces including tiles, hybrid flooring, vinyl, laminate, and sealed hardwood. Do not use on unsealed or waxed timber floors, or on carpet.

How do I fill the spray mop?

Mix your diluted concentrate solution (20ml concentrate per 1L water) and pour it into the refillable bottle on the spray mop. Twist to secure. Press the trigger to spray directly onto the floor ahead of the mop head, then mop. No bucket needed.

How do I wash the mop pads?

Machine wash in cold or warm water (up to 60°C) without fabric softener. Fabric softener coats microfibre fibres and reduces their cleaning effectiveness. Tumble dry on low or air dry. The pads are designed to withstand hundreds of washes.
